So, I am trying to earn back some money that Dot cost us with this vet visit.....
So, if you wouldn't mind, could you go vote for my baby at:
Where it says Search by entry number/pet name, you can type in Dot or Dash. You can vote once per day/per IP address.
Thanks for you help!
Well, we finally brough her home!! She has a bit of a fever still, but the vet thinks that could have just been stress of being at the vet. Like her pretty pink band-aid? She struggled a bit when they took the IV out....
She just keeps wandering around the apartment. Dash keeps following around behind her. She has eaten so we are happy!
Well, her fever came back. So she stays at the vet for another night. :( And she still wasn't eating (they were force feeding....whenever she hissed at them, they would shoot soft food into her mouth...we think she was just being lazy!)
We got to go and visit her though and she ate out of my hand :D The vet assistant was amazed because Dot was eating food off of her blanket (I think she was having problems eating out of the bowl with the "cast" on her paw holding her IV in).
She seems so much better today and she definitely wasn't as hot as when we brought her in. Let's hope her fever stays down and we can bring her home tomorrow.
Well, Dot stayed at the vet's last night. She had a fever when we brought her in. They kept her, did blood work and xrays. They also gave her an iv to rehydrate her and to give her some meds (for pain, antibiotics, and to bring the fever down).
All the blood work and x-rays came back clean. The vet thinks that there is something wrong at the base of her tail. I don't know if I believe that...I think Dot is just pissy right now.
We should be able to pick her up today after work. R and I are both going to try and leave early.
$$$ later....
So, we are taking Dot to the vet tomorrow.
She has been eating or drinking....or using the litter box. We bought an eye dropper and have been giving her some water with it. And she will eat a couple of pieces of kibble if we put it in front of her. She doesn't want to walk anywhere, and she has been laying around for 2 days now. She slept between my legs all night last night and that is not like her.
She isn't even licking my nose. She always licks my nose. :(
Why are vet's so expensive? We need to get pet insurance.
Ok, so here are some things I have been working on. Some are heading for the frog pond. I just really don't like them. Sarah, if you read this, well, your hat will be in this post ;) and well I don't know if it will be dry by Friday!
This is the scarf I was making for Amanda and Susan (sorry guys). But I am not liking the way it turned out. I think it would have been better to knit rather than crochet. I was however limited in time and crochet is MUCH faster for me.
This is the cardigan I am knitting for myself. It has a curved front that I am trying to figure out how to do. This is the pattern.
I have completed one sleeve and the back. I am working on the other sleeve (somewhat).
This is the baby sweater I was working on for Camille's Isabella, to go with the blanket I made. Uh, I think the baby is too big now cause I got lazy on this. All it needs are ties of some sort.
And I actually made the scarf to go with the wrist warmers I made.
My felted hats (FINALLY!). One is for Sarah and one is for Jen. I really hope they fit. They kinda seem small to me.
Yes, it covered my WHOLE head.
So that is what I have been up to. I am about to start a shrug for me. I am going to a friends wedding in January, and I have a great dress, but I want a cover up.And I will leave you with a Dot pic.
What can I say...she likes her boxes.
I finished my first crochet project. I made a baby blanket for a friend I haven't seen since last September. She is coming to work today (she used to work there) for our annual pot luck.
Here is the blanket. I based it off of the Tiramisu Blanket by Posie Gets Cozy. I was pointed to the pattern by lulubird6.
I am really proud of this blanket. I absolutely love it. I <3 crochet! lol
This only took be a couple of weeks to do, and I was only working on it off and on. I am not sure if you can see in the pictures or not, but the ribbon has little green dashes running the length of it.
It all wrapped up:
Oh, and of course, Dot pics:
I caved, kinda. I am on a yarn diet. I think I have mentioned it before. Well, I have not bought yarn since before January. There were some stipulations and "outs" in the rules of the yarn diet. And technically I did not break the diet, although I did not have to buy the yarn for my tank top.
I bought yarn for a baby blanket I am going to crochet. I got the pattern from lulubird6, who got the pattern here. It is so pretty.
I am going to use this to make it:
I really like how the orange, pink, and green look. And yes, it is for a little girl. Mom (and dad) have having a wee bit of a hard time coming to terms with the fact that it is a girl, so I went with the orange, with the bit of pink.
This is a tank top called All-Season Shell from lionbrand that I want to make.
And I am going to use this yarn:
Now for the flowers. I was having a crappy day the other day, and my friend Lessthan8 got me some flowers.
Aren't they pretty?
And finally, as the title said, the obligatory Dot pictures.
Excuse the evil eyes....
